Yes they are, and yes they can, any baby item is most welcome.
I sent a parcel off very recently and had a lovely letter back thanking me, and telling me a little about what they do - I was really touched that Val took the trouble to actually write a letter, I had enclosed an envelope and international reply coupon as it was my first parcel to them and I wanted to be sure it had arrived, I only expected a one liner, not 3 pages!

I`m enclosing my email address this time (her suggestion) so she can let me know that way, it`s good to know it has arrived and she seems so friendly and dedicated.

It's an ongoing thing :D

Knitting magazine are shortly going to have a premmie pattern going in which could be useful for this.

Anyone looking for information on the Baby Pack project, please go to http://kznbabypack.blogspot.com/
I am the US coordinator for the project, but have the most up to date information. Val Bailey, who is the coordinator in South Africa, has given me more recent pictures, and I visited South Africa in November 2007 and went with Val to see the areas of need.

I definately will be sending something. How awful to think your new little baby has to be wrapped in paper. It makes you really humble to see how some people have to cope.
